Addition and Renovation
We are excited about the renovation at the Uniontown Public Library Branch and the upcoming additon to the Sturgis Public Library Branch. Uniontown is getting a face lift inside and out, new doors, new lighting, new flooring, painting, new furniture, new shelving and much more. We hope to be finished with Uniotown by the end of May and the Sturgis addition should be starting around this time. Sturgis will be doubling the size of their building, with many new features also, inside and out. Check back often for more details.

Resume builder
The Union County Library District would like to offer our support to the many people who will be affected by the upcoming layoffs and closing of Rayloc. We would like each of you to know that we have county wide 21 public computers that are installed with the latest Microsoft Office 2007 and 4 with Office 2003. We also have trained staff that will be able to assist you in creating a resume with a program called Info Path, whose design allows you to enter your personal information creating a professional resume, which may be necessary to obtain that perfect job you seek. For a small charge of 25 cents a page you will be able to print your resume. If you need to search for jobs online or enter a resume online we offer free Internet and Wi-Fi services. Just remember your library is here to support you in your effort to relocate into the job market.

Computer classes
For our senior citizens, and those who want to learn the basics of using a computer, we hold computer classes, taught by Shirley, which guide you through various computer programs. These classes have been very successful and enjoyed by all who attend. Classes are taught in the fall and spring, please listen to local news or check out the Library's calendar for class times.
What is going on at the Union County Library
Here at the Union County Public Library we are always creating new and innovative ways for our community to utilize this fine building as well as to learn. From pre-school children all the way up to senior citizens we have something here for you. We offer a Genealogy room, a meeting room, books, (in print and audio versions), fiction and non-fiction, CD's, limited quantities of DVD's, reference material, (in print and on-line), free wireless Internet access, and much more. We also offer many types of programming to choose from.
Children's Programming
For the younger crowd, from 6 months to 13 years, we offer story and activity hours, with lots of music, stories and crafts. These programs are very well attended and quite popular! We have so much fun and we are learning a lot too!
